The Dennis the Menace Masonic Lodge

0000 union masonic lodge

Union County (Lake Butlker) is one of Florida’s least populated counties. There is one high school, one middle school, and one elementary school. But it has a most unusual Masonic Lodge.

The 1905 Community School has long been converted into the local Masonic Lodge, but the historic structure has a new name: the Jay North “Dennis the Menace” Lodge. The TV-movie star of the original Dennis the Menace series not only wed a local girl and lives here, he is a well-respected juvenile corrections officer for the Florida Department of Corrections.

And he is an active member of the Lodge. For us Floridians, we thank Jay North for his service to the Florida community.
